Learn how to identify and correct movement faults in Olympic-style weightlifting ( snatch, clean & jerk)  with Lubomir Kafonek.

This workshop is for weightlifters, crossfiters or any other enthusiast athlete using Olympic-style weightlifting training to improve his/her technical proficiency of the lifts and overall athletic performance.

Do you want to take your Weightlifting to the next level?

The workshop is suited to athletes of all levels looking to maximize their knowledge about body work related to olympic weightlifting.

Previous experience with the olympic-style lifts is required along with an understanding of basic weightlifting terminology.

Participants should be prepared for an active day of practical work separated by brief lectures.

TOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP

Two – day event: (13 hours total - 7 hours 1st. day)

 Theory – 2 hours
  • Recognize, diagnose and correct technique errors
  • Technical details of the lifts
Mobility – 2 hours
  • Tests for mobility, coordination and strength (whole body)
  • Weightlifting-specific mobility

 Lifting – 3 hours

  • Snatch, Clean & Jerk
  • Assistance exercises for movement progressions in snatch and clean & jerk
Day 2)
Theory – 2 hours
  • Anatomical connections
  • Spine, breathing, core stability under lifting

Screening – 2 hours

  • Testing for dysfunctions-movement patterns testing and fixing
Lifting – 2 hours
  • Clean & Jerk
  • Assistance exercises for movement progressions in clean & jerk

Participants will have to :) perform the snatch and clean & jerk and receive feedback and corrections from Lubomir throughout the workshop.
